Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR)
At AFPD, we display our corporate social responsibility through the contribution to local communities, enhancing their well-being via projects and initiatives and providing humanitarian relief. We recognize the teambuilding and motivational opportunities afforded to our people by helping them to participate in community-related initiatives.
In this part of our website, we describe some of the events we have done so far to spread corporate social responsibility practices throughout AFPD.
2008 CSR Activities
CSR Chinese New Year Internal Charity Booth and Visit to Society for the Aged Sick
AFPD organized an internal "Adopt A Goodie Bag For An Elderly" Chinese New Year Charity booth from 08 January 2008 to 10 January 2008. To share the joy of festivities, employees were encouraged to do their part by adopting a goodie bag for $4 or $10. After the course of 3 days, a total of $1377 were collected from our kindhearted employees.
On the 19th January 2008, AFPD visited the Home together with HR & Administration General Manager, Mr. Takahashi. Miss Joanna, one of the Home's staff gave us a brief introduction on the history of the Home before we proceeded to the canteen area with the distribution of the goodie bags. We took the opportunity to visit the bed-ridden residents who could not be present at the canteen for their lunch. We went round the wards to distribute the goodie bags and mingled with the residents.
