Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR)
At AFPD, we display our corporate social responsibility through the contribution to local communities, enhancing their well-being via projects and initiatives and providing humanitarian relief. We recognize the teambuilding and motivational opportunities afforded to our people by helping them to participate in community-related initiatives.
In this part of our website, we describe some of the events we have done so far to spread corporate social responsibility practices throughout AFPD.

On the 4th February 2006 (7th Day of Lunar New Year), AFPD visited the Home together with our Managing Director, Mr. Narushige. The Home's Manager, Mr. Then and the nursing staffs exchanged New Year greetings before proceeding with the distribution of Ang Pows. One of the residents was so delighted when she received an Ang Pow from Mr. Narushige that she insisited on giving him a pair of mandarin oranges in return, as part of the customary New Year greetings.
Chinese New Year Charity Booth - "Adopt An Ang Pow"
To commence the 2006 CSR programs, an "Adopt An Ang Pow" Chinese New Year Charity Booth was organised from 23 January 2006 to 25 January 2006. To share the festive spirits of Chinese New Year with the less fortunate people, employees were encouraged to do their part by adopting an Ang Pow (red packet). An AFPD ang pow is specially designed for this charity drive. The symbolic donations collected from our staffs are distributed to the residents of Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home.
